Hi, just thought I would jump in to get things started.... My disaster is not with clothes, but with stores. I recently was shopping in a major department store that was filled with clothing up to size 16, but couldn't find anything larger. Finally, I asked a sales person where the Woman's Department was. She looked around, puzzled, and said, the whole floor is woman's. I could hear her mocking me to herself.

"No", I said, "I am looking for the Woman's Department." She still didn't get it. I wanted to say look and me and think about it a minute. But instead I said "What about the department that carries larger sizes for woman?" And slowly you could see the little tiny wheels turning in her head. "Oh, I don't know where that is." Ok, now I got the right answer from her...

Which reminded me of my mother's department store gafaw... She asked for the wide department. The sales person didn't know what she wanted, so she came home and complained to me. I had to tell her that 18W meant 18Woman, not 18Wide!

Why is it that the sales associates are all stick thin? None of them understand how it is for plus sized women to go shopping. They are all sniggling while we are stressing out, I would LOVE for a plus size ladies shop to have plus sized associates. People who understand that underwear that CREEPS just isn't gonna cut it.
